James Cameron Will Prove Once And For All That Rose Didn’t Selfishly Let Jack Die In Titanic

Let’s face it, the mere mention of Titanic will almost always provoke a heated debate about that damn wardrobe door and how Rose was heartless in keeping that ridiculously spacious piece of debris all to herself. After ten years of deliberation, after the films re-release in April of this year a photo was released of two fans who had taken it upon themselves to prove that not only could two people fit on the plank but there would even have been room for a cheeky game of strip poker (probably not recommended considering the situation). Said image can be seen below:

We though that was the end of the matter but now the man himself, James Cameron, determined to clear Rose’s name, clearly cannot take the scorn for another second and has teamed up with the hit TV show Mythbusters to now prove that it’s not a question of size but of weight. Cameron has said.”Actually, it’s not a question of room, it’s a question of buoyancy, When Jack puts Rose on the raft, then he tries to get on the raft. He’s not an idiot, he doesn’t want to die. And the raft sinks and kind of flips. So it’s clear that there’s only enough buoyancy available for one person. So he makes a decision to let her be that person instead of taking them both down.” So you see folks? Jack was just being chivalrous.

Cameron has also said “It’s interesting, cause I think MythBusters is gonna tackle this problem, and I’m gonna help them do it, actually. We’re gonna put it to rest.” Th clip of him explaining this can be seen below at around the 4.20 mark and we’ll just have to wait for the upcoming episode of Mythbusters to finally sink this argument once and for all- watch this space….
